- No user accounts or authentication
- No usage tracking or analytics
- No crash reporting or diagnostics
- No cookies or browser storage (except dark mode preference)

Where Your Data Lives
On your device. All notes are stored locally in plain Markdown files. BrainVault never sends your notes to any server, including ours. We don\'t have servers to store user data because there is no user data to store.
Open Source Verification
Don\'t take our word for it. BrainVault is fully open source (MIT license). Audit the code yourself at github.com/Grandillionaire/brainvault. You won\'t find any tracking code, analytics libraries, or network calls to third-party services.
This Website (brainvault.app)
This marketing website is static and hosted on Vercel. We do not use analytics, cookies, or tracking scripts. Your visit to this site is private. If you download BrainVault, we never know who you are or what you\'re using it for.
Changes to This Policy
We don\'t anticipate changes because there\'s nothing to change. We collect zero data and always will. If this policy ever updates, it will be noted here and in the GitHub repository.
Your notes. Your device. Your privacy. Always.
